A traditional kiondo is a handwoven handbag made of sisal with leather trimmings. Instead of using sisal (except for the structure), this kiondo is made of recycled plastic bags! The kiondos are indigenous to the Kikuyu and Kamba tribes of Kenya. It takes between two to three weeks to complete a bag from the very beginning to the end.
The bright coloring and striping of each bag is unique and different.
